It may come down to my MIL

I knew the housing market was bad, but this is BAD BAD. Not a single place that isn't an arm and a leg to rent and the bank never got back to us on something we'd own.
The One I Married called the MIL and she lives in Arizona near the Grand Canyon and is already getting things set up for us out there like social benefits and even a job for The One I Married.
I know Arizona is only marginally better than Texas for the queer and disabled communities, and barely bluer in politics, but it's either a cross country move or homelessness and I cannot live in a car with my cats I refuse to do that to them.
We'll know for sure by week's end. I can only keep packing and looking for things to do in Arizona to keep the melancholia at bay.
